Food Priorities
First of all you should know that my priorities when preparing food, aside from making something my body will be happy I fed it, is to:
• use fresh ingredients
• use whole ingredients (vs. processed and or heavily packaged foods)
• eat raw as much as possible
• soak grains, seeds and legumes ahead of time to make them more digestible
• use as little heating resources (for me it’s gas, but it could just as easily be electricity or wood.) as possible. This saves resources and money. Soaking helps a lot with this as it decreases cooking time substantially.
• I cook intuitively. I never measure and so will never offer measurements to you. You’re on your own, there!
